2026 began with snow and freezing temperatures, giving us little opportunity to do any community gardening.
But our first committee meeting of the New Year (Jan 12th) gave us all time to look ahead to warmer times with plans for fundraising strategies along with improvements and upgrades for our containers and the Sensory Garden.
We have completed a detailed assessment of the physical state of our town-centre floral containers and discovered that some will need replacing over the next 2 years. We will complete this gradually as funds allow.
Also in need of repair is the willow surround of our Sensory Garden located by the Church’s South Porch. We are looking for quotes to improve the woven circular raised bed which houses our sensory plants.
